Gwangju Universiade, spurs the recruitment of official sponsors

2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade Organizing Committee (hereafter GUOC) are spurring the recruitment and selection of official sponsors for the Games.

After selecting Black Yak as the preferred bidder as the official sponsor for the sports wear section, LF Corp. (Former LG Fashion) has been assigned the preferred bidder for the official sponsoring of formal wear.

The GUOC held an evaluation committee for the sponsorship of formal wear on the 2nd and decided to negotiate with LF Corp. first, after a comprehensive evaluation on technical capabilities, product, and sponsorship.

LG Fashion has changed its name to LF Corp. to expand the business into a lifestyle brand, rather than just a fashion brand. As a sponsor of the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, LF will design and produce the uniform for officials, awarding agents, and protocol agents, as well as provide necessary support in fashion shows.

The GUOC will negotiate on technical details of producing formal uniforms and detailed sponsorship plans before officially signing a sponsorship agreement.

Meanwhile, after signing an official sponsorship agreement with Black Yak, sports wear such as jackets, t-shirts, hats and bags will be designed and produced for torchbearers and volunteers, totaling in more than 160,000 pieces of sports wear.

The GUOC remarked "Following Black Yak’s sponsorship in sports wear, LF Corp., one of the top national fashion groups, has become the sponsor for formal wear during the Games." The GUOC also added, "The support of the two competent companies will surely upgrade the class of the 2015 Gwangju Universiade."
