2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade Organizing Committee (hereafter GUOC 2015) is busy preparing for the Games that will occur in less than a year, despite the hot weather.

On the 15th, GUOC visited the Naju Public Stadium, where the men’s football finals will be held next year on July 13th, and held a ‘Venue Operation Scenario briefing’ to check on the adequacy of the venue operation plan that has been drawn up so far.

At the briefing held on this day, Kim Yoon-suk, the Secretary-General of GUOC, committee officials, personnel, and sports coordinators, a total group of more than 80 people, were in attendance and carried out inspection of 17 different areas related to game support, including award ceremony, protocol, logistics, security, catering, transportation, and competition management, to supplement on-site preparations.

Ahead of this briefing, organizers also had on-site inspections in advance regarding games facilities, security, and game management to ensure the quality of the content of the briefing.

In addition, the organizing committee will commence on-site inspection reports at the 11 venues in Gwangju and Jeolla province where the final competitions will be held for 4 days, from the 28th to 31st.

Football final competition scenario will be applied to each of the venues, with each venue’s unique conditions reflected, and verify the validity of each venue scenario.

Based on the results from these on-site inspections, the organizing committee will supplement the venue operation plans and hold a final briefing session at the beginning of August.

Meanwhile, during the period of these on-site inspections, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) will be visiting for an inspection for four days from the 21st to 24th.

Through the on-site inspections, FISU inspection, test events during August, and field experience at the Incheon Asian Games in September, the organizing committee expects to supplement and revise all the necessary details for the 67 venue operationplans.
