Start up for installation on Total Integrated Management and Telecommunications Systems
The work plan for the installation of the integrated management and telecommunications systems to support for operating the sporting events in optimum conditions during the Gwangju Summer Universiade 2015 (GU 2015) has been initiated.
The GU Organizing Committee (GUOC 2015) has buckled down the preparation beginning with the kick-off report meeting on 30 January for the installation and operation in the integrated management and telecommunications systems.
The installation will be proceeded in consortium with the SK C&C and the SKT, and contain the integrated management system including the essential games operating elements in the management of athletes and supplies, recording, and providing games information, moreover the telecommunications system based on high-tech IT innovations such as games communication networking, broadcasting sound facility, electronic display etc.
When the system is completed, live news from stadiums will be provided as well as services in tourism, transportation, interpretation, and weather conditions along with call centers through various smart devices based on the high-speed wire & wireless communications infrastructure.
Therefore, it will enable to provide the citizens with the friendly and conveniently customized services and also all of the games operators, participants, spectators and press groups etc with easy access to games information.
One of the GUOC staff members has said, "With more efficient and stable games' operating, securing the most accurate recording, and convergence of internet, mobile and media, we are going to build up the exclusive environment in Gwangju glowing its IT innovations as the system which makes it possible to receive live information about the games anywhere anytime.
The Gwangju Summer Universiade scheduled in July, 2015 is expected to attract the number of 20,000 international university athletes in groups from over 170 nations.
The Universiade is a biannual event with the participants aged between 17 and 28 including graduate students and will be held in Kazan upcoming July for this year.
