Support Women's Rugby!

Women’s rugby has been played in the United States for nearly half a century and this year the 1991 Women’s Eagles celebrate the 25th anniversary as World Champions at the first women’s rugby world cup in 1991. Since that time interest in the sport has exploded around the globe and has recently become the fastest growing team sport in the United States. As we prepare to celebrate the ’91 Team’s historic anniversary one can’t help but think of those athlete’s as groundbreakers for women’s rugby in the US, especially with our 7s team qualified to represent the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. This is the first time rugby has been played in the Olympics since 1924 and will be the first time that our rugby women compete for Gold.Like those players in the early ’90s, today’s Eagle athletes are non-salaried, hard training rugby players who don the red, white and blue to play as America’s team.Make a gift of support todayto acknowledge their efforts and be a part of the future of USA Rugby.
