Volunteer applications are now being accepted for the 2015 US Figure Skating Championships which will take place in Greensboro, NC in mid January 2015. When filling out an application keep in mind that some positions may require certain skills.

Toronto 2015

To deliver an event the size and scope of the TORONTO 2015 Games, 20,000 volunteers are needed in everything from pre-Games planning to senior event leadership roles. Some positions require specialized skills and work experience, while others simply require a desire to roll up your sleeves and pitch in.

World Club Rugby 10s is bringing some of the biggest names in professional rugby to Singapore. As part of the event, World Club Rugby 10s wants to provide Singapore and Asia with the chance to get close to these stars! Registration is now open.

Lima 2019

The Organizing Committee for the 2019 Pan Am Games in Limahas created a logo design competition. The purpose of this competition is to get the citizens of Peru involved in the upcoming Pan Am Games. There is a monetary prize for the winning design. Submissions will be accepted until June 30th.

ITU2016 and 2017 World Triathlon Championships

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has opened bidding for the World Triathlon Series to all National Federations and cities interested in hosting the premier triathlon circuit for the next three seasons.

Included in the bid opportunities is the possibility to host the 2016 and 2017 World Triathlon Series Grand Final races, which attract more than 6,000 international age-group athletes, as well as one of the eight flagship events in 2015.

AIBA

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is pleased to announce that it has opened the bidding process for all AIBA major competitions to be held in 2015 and 2016 and all Olympic Qualifying Events for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

FEI WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES™ 2018

Events are the lifeblood of sport. Competitions are the principal purpose behind hard training and preparation for many sports actors such as Athletes, Horses and coaches. In order to streamline the existing bidding process and to build the bidding process to a higher standard, the FEI feels that a new approach for the FEI Games, Championships and Finals Bidding Process is necessary.

IPC Swimming

IPC Swimming has launched a call for organisers to bid to host the 2017 world and 2018 European championships, which will follow the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Prospective bidders have until 31 August 2014 to submit their applications to the address outlined in the bid document. Bid documents and factsheets can be found at the above link.

The FICTS Executive Committee has approved four programs of activities for 2015 aimed to the development of the cultural and educational functions of sport and Olympic Movement. The main program is an "Olympic Short Film Contest." Click here more details.

Global Sports Development has many educational and awareness programs. Their main program is CESEP. CESEP stands forCulture, Education, Sport and Ethics Program. CESEPis an international educational outreach initiative to engage young people from different countries and cultures in the dialogue of healthy sport. Russian International Olympic University

The Russian International Olympic University is now receiving applications for the second intake of the Master of Sport Administration (MSA) course, running from September 2014 to June 2015.

Paralympic Sport Club Development Program

U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, today launched the Paralympic Sport Club Development Program, a new initiative designed to support grassroots organizations that are committed to providing sustainable Paralympic sports programming that strengthens the athlete pipeline to the U.S. Paralympic Team. Paralympic Sport Clubs that participate in the three-level program will receive recognition and awards designed to help organizations honor achievements and further pursue excellence within the Paralympic Movement.

RIOU

The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) is welcoming applications from NOCs for its two scholarships to study on the second Master of Sports Administration (MSA) course at the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) in Sochi.

As part of ANOC’s commitment to disseminating best practice amongst its 204 member NOCs, ANOC will allocate two full scholarships – courtesy of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation – to talented individuals currently working within the ANOC family to study on RIOU’s second MSA programme, which runs from September 2014 until June 2015.

ISA Individual Scholarship Program

The ISA is proud to continue to award academic surf scholarships to Under-18 junior surfers from all over the globe. The ISA Individual Scholarship Program was established in 2007, and in its six year history has awarded 172 individual scholarships and a total of $128,500. This year, the ISA will award 50 individual $1,000 scholarships, a total of $50,000.

Tender Opportunities:

World Olympians Association

The World Olympians Association [WOA], the member organisation of all Olympians established to help support Olympians around the world and promote Olympism in the community, has launched a tender process to recruit a digital agency partner.

The successful digital consultancy will be tasked to re-design and modernise the organisation’s online platforms, including creating a new website and integrating social media tools. The appointed agency will also have a broad range of responsibilities to develop and manage the WOA’s online content such as a new Online Olympic Reunion Center, the President’s Blog and the WOA Twitter and Facebook presence. Seven agencies have been invited to pitch for the business.

Turkmenistan

The State Committee for Sport has announced an international tender for the design and construction of new sports facilities in Ashgabat and other velayats (regions). It is planned to construct a new sports school specialising in chess and checkers in the Turkmen capital. One of the most important facilities to be built in Ashgabat is the Olympic Training Centre that will include sports training bases and a scientific and research laboratory.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified companies for the provision of media buying services.

EOI submissions will be evaluated against specific criteria with respondents who qualify then invited to prepare detailed proposals as part of a tender process. Ultimately, the successful company will work closely with the LOC which has offices in Melbourne, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played in venues across both countries in February and March 2015.

Rio de Janeiro 2016

Procurement Portal of the Organizing Committee for Rio 2016

The portal will serve as the main channel of communication with supplier companies and has the potential to change the way of purchasing goods and services and become a legacy for national industry. The new tool will host the Games Demand for Goods and Services Plan, the Organising Committee’s purchase schedule until 2016, which will allow companies to plan ahead and also seek extra qualifications to meet the Olympic demands.
