The International Table Tennis Federation is pleased to announce that the Inaugural ITTF Dream Building Fundraising Dinner will be held on Friday 17 May 2013 during the LIEBHERR 2013 World Table Tennis Championships in Paris, France. The fundraiser dinner will be held at the official ITTF Hotel, Marriot Rive Gauche, from 6.30pm to 10.00pm.

Officially launched at the LIEBHERR 2012 World Table Tennis Championships in Dortmund last year, ITTF Dream Building is ITTF's consolidated Social Responsibility Program consisting of the Global Development Program, Para Table Tennis and Junior Table Tennis.

The IOC launched the registration process on December 14 for the third International Forum on Sport for Peace and Development, which will take place from June 5-6, 2013 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, USA. Organised jointly by the IOC and the UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace, with the support of the United States Olympic Committee, the biennial event aims to assess the successes and challenges of using sport as a tool for human development and peace promotion.

ITU 2015 World Triathlon Championships

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has opened bidding for the World Triathlon Championships 2015 to all National Federations and cities interested in hosting the final race of the 2015 World Triathlon Series.

"ITU is committed to hosting top level events in iconic cities," ITU President and IOC Member Marisol Casado said. "As our sport continues to rise in popularity, we believe hosting the ITU World Triathlon Championships offers cities the possibility to showcase their city to a global audience."

In 2009, the championships were revamped, expanding the former single-day World Championship race into an exciting multi-city global series, during which athletes vie for prize money totaling more than $2 million USD. The series culminates with the ITU World Triathlon Championships, which will continue to be called the World Triathlon Grand Final through 2013.

Baku 2015

The Organizing Committee of the First European Games in Baku, 2015 has launched a contest to determine the designs of logo, medals and torch of the games. The Organizing Committee told APA that any person acting as a professional or an amateur designer can participate in the contest. There is no age limit for participants. One author can not submit more than 5 works and these works must correspond to the contest’s theme. The samples, which have not been used up to know and not repeating the elements of the existing designs, must be submitted to the contest.

OC Sport Extreme Sailing Series Venues 2014

OC Sport, the organiser of the Extreme Sailing Series, has launched the tender process to find host venues for the 2014 to 2017 cycle.

The bid process closes on April 26, with a shortlist of up to 10 potential new venues to be drawn up by May 2. Final selections will be made by July.

OC Sport said the Extreme Sailing Series circuit provides host venues with "a commercially sound and outstanding value-for-money ‘destination marketing’ package, that delivers global media exposure, the opportunity to showcase host venues worldwide, as well as the direct and indirect economic benefits that each event brings to the host cities."

The categories for the "Beyond Sport Awards" have been announced. Applications are now being accepted for organizations that would like to apply for an award.

Toronto 2015 IGNITE Program

The IGNITE program is a community partnership enabling individuals, organizations and communities to be associated with the Games, and hopes to encompass the projects and events that are inspired by the Games coming to the region.

From Niagara Falls to Oshawa to Caledon, IGNITE offers communities the opportunity to leverage the Games to increase awareness for their projects. IGNITE also aspires to create initiatives that will continue to flourish post-Games.

2013 Warrior Games

U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, is seeking volunteers to assist with the 2013 Warrior Games presented by Deloitte. The competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans will take place in Colorado Springs, May 11-17, utilizing venues at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and U.S. Air Force Academy.

Volunteers are being sought to assist with venue management, officiating, score keeping, medal ceremonies, stocking hydration stations, among many other responsibilities.

Russian International Olympic University

Twenty scholarships each worth USD 30,000 are on offer for the Russian International Olympic University’s international Master of Sport Administration inaugural programme which commences September 2013.

ITTF: LIEBHERR World Table Tennis Championships

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is offering two (2) scholarships for journalists to attend the LIEBHERR 2013 World Table Tennis Championships in Paris from May 13th to May 20th 2013.

It is an opportunity to gain knowledge of table tennis and the International Table Tennis Federation.

Each candidate will have full access to all media facilities and players; it will provide an exceptional experience for the selected candidates.

The State Committee for Sport has announced an international tender for the design and construction of new sports facilities in Ashgabat and other velayats (regions). It is planned to construct a new sports school specialising in chess and checkers in the Turkmen capital. FIBA

FIBA issued an invitation to submit proposals aimed at appointing a worldwide licensing representative responsible for developing its licensing program and those of its major upcoming competitions. The purpose of the licensing program is to promote the competitions in the host countries and around the world. Competitions belonging to the program include the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women, and may also extend to eight of the 2013 FIBA Continental Zone Championships: the FIBA Africa Championships (Men & Women), the FIBA Americas Championships (Men & Women), the FIBA Asia Championships (Men & Women) and the FIBA Oceania Championships (Men & Women) (FIBA).

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified companies for the provision of media buying services.

EOI submissions will be evaluated against specific criteria with respondents who qualify then invited to prepare detailed proposals as part of a tender process. Ultimately, the successful company will work closely with the LOC which has offices in Melbourne, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played in venues across both countries in February and March 2015.

UIPM Production Tender

UIPM, the world’s governing body for Modern Pentathlon, is looking for a TV production company to produce its TV highlights show and internet TV productions.
