(ATR) Gunilla Lindberg is keeping an eye on all upcoming Olympics and serving as a member of the IOC Executive Board. She is a member of the Coordination Commissions for those Games, and serving as Chairwoman of the PyeongChang Coordination Commission.
Additionally, she serves as Secretary General for the Association of National Olympic Committees. In that role she handles the day-to-day affairs of the organization for 204 National Olympic Committees, routinely hopping the globe to attend continental NOC meetings.
An IOC member since 1996, Lindberg, 65, is in her second stint as an IOC EB member. She was seen as a credible candidate for IOC President but declined to run. From 2004 to 2008 she was an IOC Vice President.
Lindberg also serves on Olympic Solidarity, Olympic Program and Press commissions and was a member of the London Coordination Commission.
Since 1989, she has served as secretary general of the Sweden Olympic Committee and since 1994, the European Olympic Committees Executive Board.
