The luge world championships in Whistler, Canada, will be benefitting from valuable support from Germany. The world's top lugers will be meeting on January 28 to February 3, 2013, in Whistler for the luge world championships on the Olympic track. Conceptum Sport Logistics (www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com) will be responsible for transporting the entire sports equipment.

The company from Frankfurt am Main will be acting as Presenting Sponsor, organising and managing the logistics to Whistler from everywhere else in the world on behalf of the FIL (www.fil-luge.org).

This has been a very sporting challenge for the Conceptum team – they did have to compete for the position, after all. Sebastian Stahl, managing director and coach to this successful transport team, takes a sportsmanlike view of it all: "The teams we are serving can only concentrate on winning if we've done our homework in preparing the transport, down to the tiniest detail, for delivery just in time at the venue." The logistics team's service extends right up to the track, as this all-round service is vital towards allowing athletes to focus fully on the competition. Trust is crucial as well – equipment is the most important asset for any athlete, second of course to health.

Perfect planning is key, along with knowing the local conditions and the international formalities that need to be dealt with such as customs and freight regulations, which can vary from one jurisdiction to the next in international transport. Conceptum Sport Logistics is already preparing for the Sochi Olympics; the specialists at Conceptum have already opened their own local office to carry responsibility up close to the track – an important factor according to Sebastian Stahl: "We need to keep close to ensure that our athletes always enjoy a complete logistical chain without gaps." This has come to include everything involved besides sports equipment, from team accommodation to flight and car rental reservations according to requirement from the Frankfurt-based experts at Conceptum.

Conceptum Sport Logistics (www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com) has come to lead the global market in tailor-made transport solutions for sports equipment and other sensitive loads in cultural project logistics. The logistics company's team serves a variety of national Olympic committees as well as national and international sports associations around the world; the company's extensive experience and know-how provide ideal solutions in transporting and handling sports equipment such as bobsleds, boats and much more, along with team transports and accommodation at sports venues. Conceptum Sport Logistics' offices in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg) and sports offices in Switzerland (Lausanne), Brazil, Canada have brought the company close to its customers and venues for genuinely local service. Ocean freight, air freight and road haulage – Conceptum Sport Logistics operates in more than fifteen countries with more than a hundred and fifty partners in international freight traffic from a one-stop shop.
