(ATR)The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) symposium on 'Doping in Sport' held Apr. 13 was led by International Paralympic Committee president Philip Craven.
Craven delivered the keynote address to begin the event, touching on topics including the Russian athlete ban at the Paralympics and doping issues at the Rio Games.
The conference featured two panels titled 'Rio 2016: Point/Counterpoint' and 'Finding Answers'.
Speakers for the panel on Rio 2016 included sports attorney Howard L. Jacobs,U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) general counsel William Bock III, International Court of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) vice president Michael Lenard and sports psychologist and GSD executive Dr. Steven Ungerleider.
U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC)athlete ombudsman Kathleen Wallace,Major League Baseball chief legal officer Dan Halem and CAS arbitrator Jeffrey Benz were among speakers on the 'Finding Answers' panel.
