For the very first time in the Olympic Games, the 53 African NOCs hold an hospitality house at the very heart of London : Africa Village , London, Kensington Gardens, 27th July - 12th August

The Africa Village is set up to host athletes and visitors throughout the Olympic Games. The public is invited to take a journey to discover the cultural, artistic and sporting riches of Africa. Stands presenting the very best of each African country with modern and traditional music concerts, fashion, dancing, photo exhibitions and a restaurant… so that all those in love with Africa and the most curious visitors can immerge themselves in African culture and discover its diversity, talent and dynamism.

AFRICA VILLAGE will be made up of two areas; the « Africa Land » and the « Africa House »

The Africa Land will allow a wide audience to discover a village of stands presenting the cultural and artistic diversity of the African continent through an exhibition area and a restaurant open to the x public. Africa Land will include several festivals fun along the Games :

- Music, dance, fashion show, performance, theatre will take place on stage every day : from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 9pm.

- Artists already confirmed : Nigerians muscians, Algerians singer, Ethiopan drummer, three bands from Morroco, a Sengalese guitarist…

-Watch the actions live and get the hotest news of the competitions, participating african athletes and special reports from our media partners all day long .

- An exhibition of photos of legendary African sportspeople from previous Games, inviting people to trace Africans'participation in the Olympic Games.

- Everyday, and we hope more than once a day, African athletes will come to showcase their medals and celebrate with fans: live interviews, demo and cheerings will be on stage !

Countries participating to the Africa Village*:

Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Central Africa, Congo Brazzaville, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Equatorial Gunea, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria , Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda… (*as of 2nd july).

Access to Africa Village is free. Opening time: from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m, 27th July- 12th August.

The Africa House will be the official area for ANOCA and the 53 African NOCs (National Olympic Committees) to welcome Sport and Olympic Family, African sports leaders and of course all the African athletes competing in London. Every African medal will be celebrated at the Africa House with the athletes and supporters. The Africa House will be the intimate place for NOCs to meet with athletes. Moreover, several events will take place in the Africa House like the General Assembly of ANOCA, an African Forum, and the press conferences from our partners.

The access to the Africa House is restricted to invitation or accreditation only.
