(ATR) The first seats are being installed in the Carioca Arenas in the Olympic Park.
Rio 2016 released photos on Jun. 2 showing the installation. Seats have been begun installation in Carioca Arena 3, and all 10,000 seats will finished by the end of June.
Carioca Arenas 1 and 2 will then begin the process of installing their seats.
The arena will host fencing and taekwondo during the Games, while arena 2 will host judo and weightlifting, and arena 1 will host basketball.
The first test events for all three arenas are scheduled for January.
Mario, Sonic Travel to Rio
The next edition of the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series will be for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Nintendo confirmed on Jun. 1 that the series would travel to Rio, being released on consoles WiiU and the 3DS through a partnership with Sega.
The Rio edition will be the fifth in the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series, as the duo has travelled to Beijing, London, Sochi, and Vancouver to participate in Olympic sports.
The new Olympic sports rugby sevens and golf will be special to the WiiU and 3DS respectively.
A release date has not been set for the game, but a teaser trailer has been released:
