Lausanne, 23 January 2015 – The International Boxing Association has unveiled a new brand identity and logo which conveys the vision of the AIBA Pro Boxing competition to the global boxing community – aiming to excite and inspire global boxing fans whilst also evoking boxing’s rich sporting and cultural heritage.
The new APB logo will be introduced first with the new belt design of the APB Inaugural Title Matches starting today and gradually be integrated into all branded areas of the competition as of Cycle 1 scheduled for March 2015.
The APB logo has a bold and fluid design which reflects the rhythm of the sport. The APB Dynamic Graphic reflects the movements of a boxer inside the ring. All of these elements combined have resulted in a unique mark that depicts the sport in its entirety: straight lines (direct punches); soft (ropes, floor); round curves (gloves, footwork).
Solid, heavy and round, the new logo conveys the essence of "weight" - the weight of the sport, of the boxers, of APB.
Attached you will find images of the new logo, the APB Inaugural Champion Belt as well as thelook and feel of a future APB venue.
