Filipino APB talent Mark Barriga: "Boxing is my life!"

Lausanne, Switzerland, 15 June 2013 - Another AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) "Boxer of the Week" campaign week was wrapped up with an exclusive fan-generated interview. This time the attention was on the young Filipino boxer Mark Barriga, the country's main hope for a first ever Olympic gold, which the Philippines people hope will finally come in Rio. Barriga hopes to secure his place at the next Games whilst competing in the revolutionary pro-style boxing competition, APB.

The 20-year old Light Flyweight (46-49kg) managed to find a few minutes in his tight training schedule ahead of the APB competition launch to answer his fans' questions, which were posted this week on the AIBA Pro Boxing facebook account (http://on.fb.me/13KzbSC).

In his interview, the Filipino APB hopeful speaks about his passion for boxing. "Boxing is my entire life", he said, admitting that he even left his university studies to dedicate himself completely to his beloved sport.
