Festival 2018 launches program

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) arts and culture program Festival 2018 will be officially launched this Wednesday 31 January at Kurrawa Park Event Deck, Broadbeach.

A spectacular line-up of arts and cultural entertainment will be revealed for the 12-day multi-arts Festival that will run from 4-15 April to celebrate and extend the Games experience for locals and visitors beyond the Stadiums.

Festival 2018 Gold Coast Co-Creative Directors Yaron Lifschitz and Kate Fell, Bleach*, Festival Artistic Director Louise Bezzina and Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion Matthew Mitcham OAM will join Minister for the Commonwealth Games Kate Jones, Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch, City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) CEO Mark Peters to celebrate the launch.

Excerpts from the Gold Coast artistic program will be performed to provide quality vision opportunities with artists and spokespersons.
