(ATR) The IOC has launched the tender process for the sale of broadcast rights in Europe for the PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Bid submissions are due with the IOC by June 15.

The IOC will assess bids on their ability to meet the highest standards in broadcast quality, their capacity to reach the broadest possible audience across different media platforms, and their commitment to promoting the Olympics and values of the Olympic Movement.

The financial offer will also be taken into consideration.

Bidders will also be asked to outline how they would partner with the IOC on the Olympic TV Channel through content and distribution support.

The IOC will consider bids on a multi-territory or on a country-by-country basis.

IMG has been appointed to help manage the European broadcast rights tender.
