EUBC, AMBC and ASBC Affirmed by Resolution the Recognition of AIBA as the Only Boxing Governing Body

Three continental boxing confederations EUBC, AMBC and ASBC unanimously signed a resolution recognizing that International Boxing Association (AIBA) is the only governing body of Olympic boxing. It happened on the General Assembly of each confederation. The document was signed by all the EUBC, AMBC, ASBC EC members.

Here is the text of the resolution:

We

Reaffirm that the International Boxing Association (AIBA) is the one and only governing body of Olympic Boxing.

Vow to support the democratically elected Confederation and AIBA leaderships as well as the Mission and Goals of AIBA.

Call upon the International Olympic Committee to recognize the significant advancements AIBA has made in governance, anti-doping, finances and the refereeing and judging program and continue to recognize AIBA as the only governing body of Olympic Boxing.

Re-establish communication with AIBA and serve the athletes by approving the qualification system as established and approved by AIBA for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
