In his manifesto, LEN Presidential candidate Erik van Heijningen strives to ensure the sustained progress and future success of LEN. As he outlines the third pillar of this platform he concentrates on building Partnerships.

"Reconnecting LEN to the world is a crucial part of ensuring the success of European Aquatics going forward. For quite some time, we have been watching as others leverage resources, funding, expertise and competencies with our partners. Our potential for growth is enormous, but we need to take advantage of opportunities to connect LEN to partners that can help us. Now is the time to engage."

Van Heijningen explains further: "My first actions as LEN President will be to work with FINA to develop more opportunities for our LEN Member Federations. It is crucial for European Aquatics to further improve our relationship with FINA, but also to look for new ways to support each other. As part of my plans, I will not only look at our sport but also open new doors with public sector and commercial partners worldwide."

"I am convinced that new collaborations with sponsors and new programmes are what will move European Aquatics forward. By joining forces with like-minded partners we can generate a long-lasting impact for LEN."
