Oslo kommune og Kulturdepartementet er enige om kostnadsfordeling, organisering og risikodeling for Oslo-OL i 2022.

– Vi har strukket oss langt for å komme i mål med forhandlingene. Det har vi gjort fordi investeringene er fornuftige, og er prosjekter vi uansett har tenkt å gjennomføre. Da er det også naturlig at Oslo tar en betydelig del av regningen, sier byrådsleder Stian Berger Røsland (H).

– Investeringene knyttet til et OL passer godt inn i byens egne planer. Vi er en by i stor vekst, og må sørge for at denne veksten fører til at byen blomstrer, ikke kveles, sier Hallstein Bjercke (V), byråd for kultur og næring.

Enigheten innebærer blant annet at:

- Oslo kommune betaler for alle OL-relaterte samferdselsinvesteringer i Oslo

- Oslo kommune betaler for sin andel av investeringer i idrettsanlegg, i tråd med finansieringsmodellen foreslått av Idrettstinget

- Oslo kommune betaler alle kostnader i forbindelse med OL-relatert plan- og reguleringsarbeid i kommunen, og investeringer i blå-grønne områdehevingstiltak

Oslo kommune vil dekke eventuelle overskridelser ved investeringer kommunen selv har ansvar for, og vil i tillegg dekke en avtalt og begrenset andel av eventuelle overskridelser av det totale OL-budsjettet.

Byrådet vil fremme sak for bystyret, i tråd med denne enigheten.
