Sports fans in Singapore can look forward to LIVE and EXCLUSIVE action from the Badminton Asia Team Championships 2016 on ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK.

Next month, the network’s Eleven Sports channel will show exhilarating action from the quarter-finals stage onwards (19-21 February) as the competition, hosted in Hyderabad, India, draws to a pulsating close.

Every fan across the country can follow the action and support the Singapore men and women’s teams competing for victory, via the recently-launched online streaming service available at www.elevensports.sg.

Organised by the Badminton Asia Confederation and hosted by the Badminton Association of India (BAI), the event will feature nine of the world’s top-10 ranked nations, with a total of 14 men’s and 12 women’s teams from Asia competing, including Singapore.

"Our philosophy at ELEVEN is to provide world-class sporting action that is popular with the local audience, and showing the Badminton Asia Team Championships in Singapore is a prime example of this," says Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK. The nine of the top-10 teams in action include traditional powerhouses China (world number 1), Japan (2), Indonesia (3), Korea (4), Malaysia (6), India (7), Chinese Taipei (8), Thailand and Hong Kong (joint-number 9). Olympic ranking points are available, and the competition serves as the Asia Continental Qualifying Rounds for the TOTAL Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2016, badminton’s premier team championships.

In addition to badminton, subscribers in Singapore can watch LIVE football from top leagues and cup competitions, including the Emirates FA Cup, Capital One Cup and English Football League, Italian Serie A TIM, Brazilian Serie A and Copa do Brasil, Copa Sudamericana, Portuguese Primeira Liga, Belgian Jupiler Pro League and Scottish Professional Football League, as well as baseball, table-tennis, basketball, tennis and handball events from around the world on the network’s two channels, Eleven and Eleven Sports.
