Eleiko, the leading provider of professional weightlifting and para powerlifting equipment is pleased to announce it has been selected as the official equipment supplier for the 2018 Commonwealth Games to be in held in Australia’s Gold Coast.
In addition, we are thrilled to also enter into a sponsorship agreement with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC).

Eleiko will supply the full range of equipment for the weightlifting and para powerlifting competition, as well as provide logistics support managing the installation and event tear down and provides event supervision.
In addition to GC2018, the agreement covers providing equipment for the Oceania and Commonwealth Championships 2017, currently being held on the Gold Coast until 9 September.
GOLDOC General Manager, Commercial, Cameron Murray said as the number one weightlifting equipment brand in the world, Eleiko, would ensure all athletes are competing on world class equipment.

"Weightlifting proved popular in the initial ticket request phase so we’re expecting an electric atmosphere across all sessions and the good news is there are still some tickets available," said Mr Murray.
GC2018 is the largest sporting event Australia will see this decade and the biggest sporting spectacular ever to be held on the Gold Coast. On 4 April 2018, over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories will converge on the Gold Coast for an 11-day sporting and cultural event.
With the proud support of close to 15,000 passionate and friendly volunteers, a spectacle of 18 sports and 7 para-sports will be contested and broadcast to a cumulative global audience of 1.5 billion.
As the first regional Australian city to ever host a Commonwealth Games, the Gold Coast will celebrate a great Games in a great city leaving great memories and great benefits for all.

Weightlifting at GC2018
Weightlifting will feature on the GC2018 sports program during the opening five days of competition from 5-9 April, while Para Powerlifting will be held on 10 April.
Both sports will be held at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre, with tickets available on a first come, first served basis via gc2018.com/tickets.
Weightlifting tickets are priced $40 for adults and $20 for children, while Para Powerlifting tickets are priced $30 for adults and $15 for children.
