Dubai Sports Council has launched the Sports Events Guide 2016 – 2018, including all details of events to be arranged by DSC and other respective entities during the upcoming three years.

Dubai Sports Council has launched the Sports Events Guide 2016 – 2018, including all details of events to be arranged by DSC and other respective entities during the upcoming three years.

The Guide is the first of its kind all over the world that issued by sports entity with a specified duration of three years.

The Guide is a reference for those who are keen to follow up the sports events, whether from UAE or abroad. It provides full review for local & international championships and events, which take place in the Emirate of Dubai, classified as per months of the year.

The Guide is prepared in an attractive design that makes it easy for public to follow up all sports events and to be acquainted with the duration & location of each event. It focuses on some of the top annual events with attached synopsis & photos.

DSC has distributed copies of the Guide to 22 foreign States and to several sports corporations, governmental entities & clubs beside local and international media.

The Guide has also been downloaded on DSC’s website, so that it becomes easy for browsers to read & get printout.

H.E. Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC, explained that the preparation of such huge guide, that covers duration of three years, reflects the proper directives & perfect policy of the wise leadership, based on early planning. DSC is keen to launch this unprecedented program, which is considered as a huge challenge. Sports events, which are organized by parties other than DSC, are sometimes interrupted by several changes in locations & duration.

H.E. Saeed Hareb remarked: "DSC functions as per the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and we have quoted H.H’s phrase on the introduction of the Guide stating: (Simply, I am looking forward for Dubai to be a place where people from all over the world gather and focus on the exercise of sport without disputes or hate".

He added: "The vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has become a policy of work in DSC. Thanks to this wise policy, the Emirate of Dubai has become a destination to host the most eminent world championships in various sports games. This Guide classifies sports events, that take place in Dubai, and specifies dates of each event throughout the upcoming three years. The Guide is expected to enhance the sports tourism in Dubai and to attract massive spectators to follow up the sports events, based on the availability of accurate information on each event".

Mr. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, Director of Sports Events Dept. in DSC, confirmed that Dubai has become a qualified city to host the greatest world championships, thanks to the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, who has converted the Emirate into a model that combines between modernity & heritage and enjoys a unique infrastructure in transport & communication beside several advanced tourist, health & educational facilities. Dubai’s uniqueness in the sports field is also attributed to the distinctive initiatives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai & Chairman of DSC, who has attained a dramatic jump in the sports sector and instructed respective bodies to construct advanced sports pitches & complexes and to host various top sports championships & events.

Mr. Naser Aman Al-Rahma stated: "H.E. Mater Al-Tayer has blessed this eminent step to prepare such huge three–year Events Guide. He has confirmed trust on DSC’s staff to complete this vital work. Dubai enjoys several advanced pitches for football, futsal, golf & beach soccer beside cycling racetracks and swimming pools, and therefore we have successfully planned for this three-year Guide".

He added: "The variety of events, take place in Dubai, attracts massive spectators to attend & participate in these events and to be acquainted with the sports events map through the new Guide. Dubai’s residents & visitors will therefore be able to review the Guide and to select their favorite sports".
