With the European Championships back on home ground we get the all-time greatest possibility to promote even more what may be the most audience friendly gymnastics discipline, and we aim to show how an enthusiastic audience can lift the top off the roof, also within the gymnastics world," says Anders Jacobsen, chairman of the Danish Gymnastics Federation (GymDanmark).

It's a splendid opportunity to arrange a great event in town. Great sports arrangements tend to gather people and at the same time create dreams and ambitions for the individual. The European TeamGym Championships is very suitable for both parameters, as it will be the best gymnasts in Europe competing and also giving a great show for the audience. Thus it's no surprise that there were so many applicants for hosting the event, and we are pleased that we were chosen."
