Following the recent increased provisions around the world to contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19), please find a new update below on Skateboarding Olympic Qualification Events planned before the end of April 2020.
SLS - STREET PRO TOUR - LAS VEGAS (USA)
Date: 24-29 March 2020
Current COVID-19 confirmed cases: 1039
CDC Risk Assessment Level for COVID-19: Risk of limited community transmission (1 of 4)
Travel restrictions: From midnight (EDT) on 13 March, all entry for non-US nationals who have been in the Schengen Area in Europe at any point in the past 14 days before arrival in the US will be suspended for 30 days. The countries affected by the Schengen Area restrictions are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Foreign nationals (other than the immediate family of US citizens, permanent residents, and flight crew) who have been in China within 14 days of their arrival will be denied entry into the United States. US citizens who have been in Hubei province within 14 days of their return will be subject to up to 14 days of mandatory quarantine.
On 2 March, the US extended its entry ban to foreign travelers who have traveled to Iran within 14 days of their arrival in the US.

Considering this extended travel ban, the number of countries involved, and the short amount of time between this announcement and the event, it is impossible to guarantee the universal participation of athletes from around the globe.
Under these circumstances, World Skate and the organizer, have decided to cancel the event.
LIMA OPEN - STREET & PARK 5 STAR EVENT - LIMA (PERU)
Date: 5- 11 April 2020

Travel restrictions: Travellers arriving from China, France, Italy, and Spain will be subject to a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine.

World Skate is currently assessing with the Local Authorities the impact of the new provisions on the event, and the ability for athletes to enter the country, practice and compete. Further communication will be released by the end of Monday the 16th of March CET.
RIZIN ARK LEAGUE - STREET 5 STAR EVENT - SAMUKAWA (JAPAN)
Date: 21- 26 April 2020

CDC Risk Assessment Level for COVID-19: Sustained (ongoing) community transmission

Travel restrictions: As announced on 11 March, the current entry ban will be expanded to travelers who have visited the following areas in the last 14 days:
China: Hubei province and Zhejiang province
South Korea: Daegu Metropolitan City, as well as Cheongdo, Gyeongsan, Andong, Yeongcheon, Chilgok, Uiseong, Seongju, Gunwi (all North Gyeongsang Province)
Iran: Alborz, Isfahan, Gazvin, Golestan, Semnan, Mazandaran, Marqazi, Lolestan, Qom city, Tehran and Gilan
Italy: Lombardia, Veneto/Emilia-Romagna/Marche/Piemonte
San Marino: all regions
Holders of Chinese passports issued in Hubei or Zhejiang provinces are also denied entry. For the period of 9-31 March, travelers, including Japanese nationals, arriving from China (including Hong Kong and Macao) and South Korea will be requested to stay at a designated facility for 14 days.

CDC Risk Assessment Level for COVID-19: Widespread sustained (ongoing) transmission (4 of 4)
Travel restrictions: All passengers arriving at PEK must self-isolate for 14 days. Passengers arriving from Iran, Italy, Japan or Korea (Rep.) and traveling to Beijing (PEK), Guangzhou (CAN) or Shanghai (PVG) are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
