Stadium Business Design & Development Summit
Qatar 2022’s stadia will be one of the main topics at the Stadium Business Design & Development Summit.
Taking place in Nice’s Allianz Riviera Stadium, all aspects of stadium design, management, and building will be discussed during the three day conference.
Themes for the conference include "Project Planning and Conceptual Development," "From Concept to Design," "New Construction Technologies," and more.

Stadium Design & Development Istanbul
The second Stadium Design & Development Istanbul conference will take place March 4-5 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Speakers for the event include Andrew Amery, Managing Director London 2012 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, Naci Cansum, Senior Director National Basketball Association of Turkey, Slecik Avci, Vice President Turkish Green Building Council, and more.

Soccerex
The Soccerex African Forum will be held Oct. 1 and 2 in Durban, South Africa.
Official FIFA World Cup Sponsor McDonalds will be represented at the African Forum. McDonalds will be talking about the company’s legacy from the 2010 World Cup as part of the presentation.
CAF Goalkeeper of the Century Joseph-Antoine Bell and Zambia national team manager Herve Renard have been added to the speakers list. They will speak on the player development panel.
Jack Oguda, CEO of the Kenyan Premier League, and Stanley Matthews, sports & commercial director for Africa SuperSport, will speak on a panel discussing the commercialization of African Soccer Leagues.
Representatives from leagues in England, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana will also be in attendance to network and learn from each other.

Soccerex’s Global Convention is slated for Nov. 23-27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The convention will feature over 4,500 of football’s most senior decision-makers and "will be the culmination of four years of business development ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games."

City Events
Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.
Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."
REPUCOM announced a partnership with City Events to provide support during the conference. REPUCOM will also give presentations "regarding the return on investment that cities can expect from hosting a sporting event."
"We are very pleased to support City Events and the unique platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking that it offers the event hosting community," said James Paterson, director of government, tourism, and events for REPUCOM.
The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.
Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives, and more.
