(ATR) SportAccord will have an exhibition booth and participate in panel discussions at the Work In Sports Exhibition Conference.

The conference will take place on May 6-7 in Lausanne.

The presentations are part of a strategic partnership between SportAccord and WISE Lausanne that will see Vlad Marinescu, SportAccord director general, speak at the convention and an online course developed by SportAccord be open to all conference participants.

"The sports world is relatively close knit, and we are delighted to partner with WISE 2015 to better interact and engage with the members of the global sports industry," Marinescu said in a statement.

"This partnership will enable SportAccord to better represent the interests of our member federations by interacting with and inspiring future sports professionals."

IPC VISTA Conference

The first speakers for the International Paralympic Committee VISTA Conference have been named.

Ciro Winckler of Sao Paulo Federal University and Raymond So of the Hong Kong Sports Institute will speak at the conference, which is to take place on Oct. 7-10 in Girona, Spain.

Winckler works with the Brazilian Paralympic Committee, and will give a talk on the intersection between the science of evaluation and monitoring training.

An IPC Sports Committee member will discuss developing high performance para-athletes.

"In the world of competitive sport, it has become increasingly clear in recent years that individual success at the elite level is a function of the complex interplay of multiple factors acting in systemic concert," Winckler said in a statement.

"This symposium will present the current state-of-the-art practice of scientific support services for elite disabled sports, which include sport medicine, sport biomechanics, sport psychology, sport nutrition and strength and conditioning."
