(ATR) Organizations interested in booking exhibition space for next year’s SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit can now sign up.

The 2021 edition of the only global sports industry event attended by all International Sport Federations and their stakeholders will be held in Ekaterinburg, Russia from May 23-28, 2021.

A range of stand options, ranging from 9m² to 27m², are available in the exhibition hall at the IEC Ekaterinburg-Expo convention centre.

Organizers say the exhibition space will feature a significantly larger SportAccord Café than in previous years, as well as a Network Zone (Including speakers’ corner), Meet & Greet Zone, Recharge Zone and a Media Zone, enabling even better networking opportunities.

SportAccord says the vast majority of organizations that had planned to exhibit at SportAccord this year have already confirmed that they are committed to having a presence at the event in Ekaterinburg.

The 2020 edition was originally scheduled for Beijing and then moved to Lausanne before being cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"With the sporting world looking forward to coming together again in a stunning setting, we are anticipating strong interest in exhibiting at this hugely significant edition of SportAccord in 2021," SportAccord Business Development Manager Malcolm Hardman said.

Organizations interested in becoming an official partner or exhibitor can email sales@sportaccord.sport.

Smart Cities & Sport Summit Offers Choice

The seventh edition of the Smart Cities & Sport Summit will be held online and hopefully on-site in Lausanne from October 26-28, 2020.

Organizers say they are taking the unprecedented step "to provide everyone, everywhere in the world, with the possibility to attend".

All members of the Smart Cities & Sport network will be granted access to an online streaming of the Summit and will be allowed to invite three additional guests from their organization.

For those interested in attending in person, registrations will be fully refundable prior to the event given the uncertainty of future travel restrictions amid the ongoing pandemic.

The early bird rate is available until June 25. Information can be found here.

Major Events Summit Goes Virtual

Major Events International’s flagship Major Events Summit will be virtual during the week beginning July 6.

Organizers say they will provide as many of the benefits of the face-to-face events as they can. Live-streamed briefings and pre-recorded additional content will be available after the main two live-streamed content days on July 7-8.

The sixth edition of the summit is described as a contribution to ensuring the events industry "can return to the new normality with new ways of working and relationships" in the wake of the impact of COVID-19.

More than 50 sports organizations, Local Organizing Committees, and rights holders will be briefing attendees on events from the Rugby League Cup in 2021 to LA2028.
