Soccerex Global Convention

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber is now confirmed to speak at the Soccerex Global Convention in September.

Garber will discuss the league's current expansion, and how it fits in with the American sports landscape. He will also discuss how the league currently turns a profit.

"Soccer has been completely revolutionised in the States since we hosted our event in Los Angeles way back in 1999, which coincided with Don being appointed commissioner of the MLS a few months later," Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said in a statement.

Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson has also recently confirmed his participation in the global convention.

Johnson will discuss his training methods, and how they have been application in his life after the track.

"Having spent a significant amount of time in the UK I’m well aware of the tremendous commitment and resources soccer teams are putting into their sport science department, so I’m looking forward to meeting them at Soccerex and sharing our ideas with them," Johnson said about his keynote speech.
