(ATR) International Paralympic Committee president Phil Craven will speak at theAmerican Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Assembly.

The conference will take place on November 14 in San Diego, California.

Craven will deliver a speech on the growth of the Paralympic Movement from 1948 to today in front of around 2,500 physicians.

"Although I'll be concentrating on the basic principles which drive the Paralympic Movement, I'll also be discussing how sport and physical activity have a major role to play in the recovery from a serious injury or illness," Craven said in a statement.

IRB Rugby ConfEx

ITV chief executive Adam Crozier joined the speaker line-up for the 2014 IRB Rugby ConfEx.

According to an IRB media release, Crozier will hold a question and answer session to "examine the fragmented media market and discuss how major events are becoming increasingly important to broadcasters hoping to attract big ratings and the associated commercial deals which go with them."

ITV will also hold a workshop on the power of sport during the conference.

Other speakers for the event include Craig Reedie, IOC vice president; Clive Woodward, Rugby World Cup winning coach and former Lions coach; Debbie Jevans, CEO of England Rugby 2015; Dr Martin Raftery, IRB chief medical officer and more.

The conference will take place in London on November 17-18.

FINA Convention

The third International Aquatics Federation (FINA) Convention will run November 29 to December 1 in Doha, Qatar.

Under the theme,"Aquatics – Engaging for Success," nine topics will be explored during the conference. A full list of the conference program can be found here.
