Sportel Monaco 2012 wrapped up Thursday with its final panel discussion titled "International Sports Program Market for Television & New Media."

Other panels that were featured throughout the conference included "Technical & Global Solutions for Sports Events," "Olympic Impact – What is the Legacy of London 2012 for the Sport Media Industry?" and "World Series of Boxing".

WSB brought two Ukrainian gold-medal winning fighters Vasyl Lomachenko and Oleksandr Usyk to promote the AIBA pet project's upcoming third season.

The 2012 Golden Podium awards for directors of the world’s best sports TV images were also announced withKnut Fleischmann, Christian Alba, Tom Tagholm, Elias Sfaxi, Ronald Sidi, Juno Cactano and Julien Bertin taking top honors.

SportAccord 2013

Registration is open for the 11th annual SportAccord Convention running May 26 to 31 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

"Saint-Petersburg has a great amount of experience in organizing international events," said Georgiy Poltavchenko, governor of St. Petersburg.

"I am certain that with the endless support of the Russian Federal Government, SportAccord Convention will be hosted on the highest level and recommendations offered as a result of discussions will facilitate new steps in the development of physical culture and sport."

CityEvents

The theme for this year’s CITYEvents conference will be "Preparing to bid, and bidding to win."

The conference will sport speakers from national, regional and city public sectors as well as international sports federations, event organizers and other key stakeholders.

Speakers will also represent a wide variety of successful – and unsuccessful – bids, sharing the lessons learned from each.

The cities of London, Kazan and Stockholm are a few of the speakers slated for the three-day conference.

The conference will also feature panels titled "Latest trends and updates from the world of hosting and bidding" as well as "Alternative Events" and will conclude with international sports federations giving their perspective on successful bids.

CITYEvents runs from Nov. 14 to 16 in Lausanne.

International Sport Event Management Conference

The shortlist for ISEM Awards has been announced.

There are 11 categories ranging from "Hospitality Award" to "Sport City Award" and "Outstanding Individual Contribution."

HostCities Conference

More speakers are confirmed for the upcoming HostCities Conference in Dubai.

Eduardo Paes, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro; Juergen Mueller, FIFA head of 2014, 2018, 2022 World Cups; Heidi Ueberroth, President, NBA International; and Danny Jordaan, Vice President, South African Football Association, have all signed on to speak.

Promax BDA Sports Marketing Summit

Dick Ebersol, former chair of NBC Sports, and Lisa Baird of the USOC will receive awards at the PromaxBDA Sports Marketing Summit.

The conference features topics such as "Brand Integration," "Managing Crisis with a fully connected Fan Base," "The Sports Fan of the Future" and more.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 13 in New York City.
