Soccerex
The Soccerex African Forum will be held Oct. 1 and 2 in Durban, South Africa.
Zambia’s Minister of Sport Chishimba Kambwili has been confirmed to speak at the event. He will join Protais Mitali of Rwanda, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi of Nigeria, and Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah of Ghana on the "Sport and Government" panel.
CAF Goalkeeper of the Century Joseph-Antoine Bell and Zambia national team manager Herve Renard have been added to the speakers list. They will speak on the player development panel.
Jack Oguda, CEO of the Kenyan Premier League, and Stanley Matthews, sports & commercial director for Africa SuperSport, will speak on a panel discussing the commercialization of African Soccer Leagues.
Representatives from leagues in England, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana will also be in attendance to network and learn from each other.

Soccerex’s Global Convention is slated for Nov. 23-27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The convention will feature over 4,500 of football’s most senior decision-makers and "will be the culmination of four years of business development ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games."

SPORTEL
SPORTEL Monaco announced its conference program.
The three-day event will include panels such as "FIFA World Cup TV & Multimedia," "Second Screen: The Big Game," "Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV) /4K: Are There More Questions Than Answers," "Next Generation Event Broadcasting," and "Monetizing Social Media."
Confirmed speakers include Yiannis Exarchos, CEO of Olympic Broadcasting Services; David Sternberg, head of media for Manchester United; Niclas Ericson, director of FIFA's TV division; and more.

Sports Event Management Conference
Dates and topics for the 8th International Sports Event Management Conference have been announced.
The conference will run from November 4-6 in the Cumberland Hotel in London, United Kingdom.
Topics ranging from "Country Focus Sessions," "Legacy from London 2012," "The Rugby World Cup," "Major Event Security," and a question and answer session will be discussed in the conference agenda.
Andrew Ryan, executive director of ASOIF; Debbie Jevans, CEO of England 2015; David Grevemberg, CEO of Glasgow 2014; and Lars Haue Pedersen, founder of TSE Consulting will speak at the conference.
City Events
Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.
Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."
REPUCOM announced a partnership with City Events to provide support during the conference. REPUCOM will also give presentations "regarding the return on investment that cities can expect from hosting a sporting event."
"We are very pleased to support City Events and the unique platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking that it offers the event hosting community," said James Paterson, director of government, tourism, and events for REPUCOM.
The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.
Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives, and more.

Dubai International Conference
Dates for the 8th Dubai International Conference have been announced.
The conference will take place December 28-29.
