The Soccerex African Forum will be held Oct. 1 and 2 in Durban, South Africa.

Nigeria’s Minister of Sport Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has been confirmed to speak at the event. He will join Protais Mitali of Rwanda and Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah of Ghana on the "Sport and Government" panel.

CAF Goalkeeper of the Century Joseph-Antoine Bell and Zambia national team manager Herve Renard have been added to the speakers list. They will speak on the player development panel.

The forum will now take place in Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Moses Mabhida Stadium will provide the forum with a larger exhibition space to accommodate a larger crowd.

The stadium hosted seven matches during the 2010 World Cup, including the semifinal between Spain and Germany.

Soccerex’s Global Convention is slated for Nov. 23-27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The convention will feature over 4,500 of football’s most senior decision-makers and "will be the culmination of four years of business development ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games".

SPONSORS Sport Venue Summit

The venue and dates for the 2013 SPONSORS Sport Venue Summit have been announced.

The conference will take place on September 18 and 19 in Hamburg, Germany.

Themes for the conference include the costs and venues for the Pan-European 2020 EURO Championships, the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, and the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

"The upcoming international major events form the focus at the 2013 SPONSORS Sports Venue Summit taking place in Hamburg," Marco Klewenhagen tells Around the Rings.

FIFA Director of Communications Walter de Gregorio, DFB Secretary-General Helmut Sandrock, and Alpaslan Ertekin from the Istanbul Olympic Games Preparation and Organisation Committee have been confirmed to speak at the event.

City Events

Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.

Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."

The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.

Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives, and more.

Dubai International Conference

Dates for the 8th Dubai International Conference have been announced.

The conference will take place on December 28-29.

The theme of the conference will be "Empower the Future of Football." Speakers and conference information will be posted here.

"We are still in the process of inviting some of the top stars in theworld of football and once this is confirmed we will announce thespeakers," stated Mohammed Al Kamali, head of the organizing committee, in astatement.
