Scotland Prepares: The National Events Conference 2012
Scotland’s biennial national events conference is scheduled for Thursday at Glasgow's newly opened Emirates Arena.
EventScotland tells Around the Rings "the conference will celebrate and case study all that is good about the events industry in Scotland and look forward to perhaps the most exciting year in the Nation’s history.

World Sport Congress
The inaugural World Sport Congress is set for Feb. 26 and 27 of 2013.
The World Sport Congress tells Around the Rings "this inaugural event will be focused on sports infrastructure, specifically large scale projects, the challenges these pose and factors affecting commercial viability. The congress will welcome senior level speakers and delegations from across the industry including government, sportingcommittees, associations, stadiums, leagues, contractors, architects and consultants to discuss the current issues affecting large scale sporting infrastructure projects and how to ensure ROI in the future.
"The congress has been designed to fuel high-level discussion, elicit insights from the who’s who of the sporting world, and give delegates a 360 degree view of all the factors involved in the business. As well as featuring presentations from prominent sporting organizations worldwide, such as the London Organizing Committee for the Games (LOCOG), Amsterdam Arena, Glasgow Life, AS Roma, UK Sport and South Africa Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee."

National Association of Sports Commissions: Sport Event Symposium
The schedule for the 2013 NASC Sport Event Symposium features new information sessions for the 21st edition of the conference.
New this year are "Game Changers," or 15-minute presentations designed to "touch on eight of the industry's hottest topics," and "Rapid RFP Review," which targets future events that could be held in different cities.
Other features "include the NASC Sports Marketplace offering pre-scheduled appointments between host organizations, event owners and suppliers, exceptional educational sessions designed specifically to help you increase your share of the business."
