Host Cities Summit

The second edition of the Host Cities Summit in Dubai has been announced.

The Summit will take place in December 2013, and focus on "all important sporting events but also examine how countries bid for and host all major events as well as look at how to maximize associated benefits."

City Events

Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.

Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."

The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.

Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives, and more.

Middle East Sport Event Summit

The theme for this year’s Middle East Sport Event Summit is "Managing World Class Events to Ensure Smooth & Effective Planning & Operation."

The summit will take place June 10-12 at the Marina Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Workshops and speakers under the themes "Regional Perspectives," "Sport Events and Grassroots," "Event Sponsorship," "Safety and Security," and "Sport and the Media" will present.

The Middle East Sports Youth Forum will take place on the first day of the Summit. The event will include students from around the Middle East to facilitate discussions with senior industry members.
