Sports Event Management Conference
Dates and topics for the 8th International Sports Event Management Conference have been announced.
The conference will run from November 4-6 in the Cumberland Hotel in London, United Kingdom.
Topics ranging from "Country Focus Sessions," "Legacy from London 2012," "The Rugby World Cup," "Major Event Security," and a question and answer session will be discussed in the conference agenda.
Andrew Ryan, Executive Director of ASOIF, Debbie Jevans, CEO of England 2015, David Grevemberg, CEO of Glasgow 2014, and Lars Haue Pedersen, Founder of TSE Consulting will speak at the conference.

SPORTEL Monaco announced its conference program.
The three-day event will include panels on "FIFA World Cup TV & Multimedia," "Second screen: The Big Game," "Ultra High Definition TV (UHDTV) / 4K: Are There More Questions Than Answers," "Next Generation Event Broadcasting," and "Monetizing Social Media."

International Convention for Career Developments in Sport
The inaugural International Convention for Career Development in Sport will take place May 7-8, 2014 in Lausanne.
The conference, titled "WISE-Work in Sports Exhibition," will take place at the House of International Sport in Lausanne.
WISE announced partnerships with AISTS, CIES, Carrard & Associés, Rio 2016 OCOG, and the World Taekwondo Federation for the conference.
"WISE and the IOC’s Athlete Career Programme (ACP) share many common goals," said IOC Sports Director Christophe Dubi.
"It is about helping as many athletes as possible successfully manage training and competition and prepare at an early stage for life after their sports career. The ACP has already supported more than 10,000 athletes from over 100 countries and by joining forces with WISE, we aim to further increase our reach and services."

City Events
Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.
Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."
REPUCOM announced a partnership with City Events to provide support during the conference. REPUCOM will also give presentations "regarding the Return On Investment that cities can expect from hosting a sporting event."
"We are very pleased to support City Events and the unique platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking that it offers the event hosting community," said James Paterson Director Government, Tourism and Events, REPUCOM.
The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.
Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives and more.

IOC Session
The 125th IOC Session will take place in Buenos Aires from Sept. 4 through 12.
The IOC will decide the host city for the 2020 Olympics on Sept. 7 as well as the next IOC president on Sept. 10.
The 2020 sports program will also be finalized at the Session.
