Boys Team Final - China 3 -1 Japan

China retained the title won one year ago in the Slovak Republic capital city of Bratislava, by overcoming Japan by three matches to nil in the final at the Volkswagen World Junior Championships in Bahrain on Tuesday 15th November 2011.

One year ago Song Hongyuan, who proceeded to win the Boys' Singles title had not been selected; conversely Wu Jiaji who played in the Bratislava final was the player who had to sit on the bench.

Similar to 2010, Lin Guoyuan was on duty as in the Slovak Republic city and 15 year old Zheng Peifeng, making his debut at a World Junior Championships, was included.

In Bratislava China had beaten Japan by three matches to nil in the final; in Bahrain they did it again.

Matters commenced with Lin Gaoyuan beating Maharu Yoshimura (11-5, 10-12, 11-5, 11-8) and Song Hongyuan overcoming Koki Niwa (11-9, 11-6, 11-9), before Yuto Muramatsu overcame Zheng Peifeng (11-8, 11-7, 11-13, 11-6) to reduce the arrears.

However, it was not to signal a memorable Japanese recovery; Lin Gaoyuan overcame Koki Niwa in four games (11-8, 11-7, 3-11, 11-5) to secure a China win.

Girls Team Final: China 3-0 Japan

Winners in Cartagena de Indias two years ago, the runners up one year ago in Bratislava, China regained the Girls' Team title at the Volkswagen World Junior Championships in Bahrain on the afternoon of Tuesday 15th November 2011 and in so doing extracted revenge for the defeat suffered twelve months earlier.

Furthermore, they extracted revenge in an emphatic manner; a three matches to nil score line was the end result.

Chen Meng beat Ayuka Tanioka (11-3, 6-11, 6-11, 11-9, 11-4), Zhu Yuling accounted for Kasumi Ishikawa (11-8, 13-11, 11-6) and Gu Yuting overcame Misato Niwa (11-3, 11-8, 11-8).
