CACSO President Luis Mejia, visits Panama Organizing Committee Games 2022

PANAMA. - The President of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO), Luis Mejía Oviedo, visited the Board of Directors of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games, Panama 2022, on Wednesday 29, held at the ¨Salón de Paz¨ Peace Hall of the Presidency of the Republic.

During his meeting, the Dominican leader highlighted the commitment shown by the Organizing Committee of these games.

"Today I saw a detailed presentation that is to our satisfaction" said Mr. Mejia when talking about the plans to be executed on Panama 2022.

The president of CACSO noted that the unification of sports entities and the government, has been key for the schedule to go according to what was proposed by the organization of the Panama 2022 Games.

"I feel optimistic, because to date we have a schedule, including the sheduled budget" said President Mejía.

"It is of no use to hold games and not leave a legacy," stated Mejia, during his speech with the media at this Wednesdays meeting. "I can share with all of you that the success of Dominican sport is due to the investment made in the Pan American Games, Santo Domingo 2003," he concluded.

The president of CACSO was accompanied by Henry Pozo, president of the Organizing Committee of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games Panama 2022, and Camilo Amado, president of the Panama Olympic Committee and CACSO treasurer.
