Qatar’s calendar in January is busy and packed with several sport events at both domestic and international levels taking place in Doha.

The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex is now hosting the prestigious the ATP Qatar ExxonMobil Tennis Open 2014 staged by the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) from December 30 until January 4th.

Likewise, the Qatar Golf Association (QGA) is now ready to host the prestigious WAGR Qatar Golf Open Amateur Championship from January 9 - 11, 2014 , while the Qatar Cricket Club staff are all set to stage the Qatar International Women Championship from January 10-24, 2014 at the Cricket stadium, Industrial Zone.

On another hand, the Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) has completed all managerial and technical arrangements to host the Qatar Grand Prix 2014 – Epee Men and World Cup Epee Qatar, women-fencing from January 16-19, 2014 at the Aspire Zone.

The Qatar Golf Association are also putting the final touches for staging the CBQ Qatar Golf Masters from January 23-26, while the Qatar Cycling Federation (QCF) will be hosting the Cycling Women’s Tour of Qatar on January 28-30, 2014 and the Cycling Men’s Tour of Qatar (Around Qatar) in February 02, 2014.

The Qatar Olympic Committee had published the agenda of main local, continental and international sport events organised in Doha through various sport federations, clubs and other sport bodies from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

The agenda features 81 sport events including 40 international, 11 Asian, 8 Arab, 8 Gulf and 11 local events, including 3 conferences during this period.

It is also worth reminding that Doha, Qatar has become a favorite destination for many of the greatest clubs and teams from Europe and the world. Manchester United, Bayern Munich, AC Milan include in their winter breaks training sessions in the world class Aspire facilities within their preparations for the second part of their European season.

Among other ‘costumers’ of Doha and the Aspire Academy for Sport Excellence, the famous clubs of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are in Doha for a prestigious game on Thursday, January 2nd , in the International Khalifa Stadium which had already hosted exciting matches involving the likes of Brazil, Argentina, England, etc.
