Reto previo al preolímpico

La Selección Colombia de Arquería viajó este martes 20 de marzo a Arizona (Estados Unidos), donde competirán en un fogueo internacional desde el miércoles 21 hasta el sábado 24. En el grupo, dirigido por el coreano Hang Yong Kim, están los ocho preseleccionados para participar en el Campeonato Preolímpico de Medellín, y otros nueve atletas más que recibieron el aval de la Federación de Arqueros de Colombia.

Paola Ramírez, María Victoria Echavarría, Valentina Contreras y Andrea Gaviria en damas arco recurvo, y Daniel Pineda, Daniel Pacheco, Andrés Pila y Diego Torres, en hombres, conforman el equipo que se preparan para el Preolímpico, que se realizará en Medellín, desde el 20 de abril.

Además de los 17 atletas que representarán al país en Estados Unidos, la Liga de Risaralda aprovechará el fogueo internacional, para preparar a sus deportistas con miras a los Juegos Nacionales, en noviembre.

BALONMANO

Antioquia y Valle dominaron en balonmano playa

El Campeonato Nacional de Balonmano Playa, que se realizó el pasado fin de semana en Girardot, dejó como campeones a Valle, en masculino, y a Antioquia, en femenino.

En la categoría masculina, el segundo lugar fue para Antioquia, y el tercero, para Quindío. En damas, el podio lo completaron Valle y Risaralda, segundo y tercero, respectivamente.

LEVANTAMIENTO DE PESAS

Campeonato Panamericano en Medellín

El próximo jueves 22 de marzo comenzarán las competencias del Campeonato Panamericano Juvenil de Levantamiento de Pesas, en Medellín.

Las delegaciones de Brasil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haití, México, Perú, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana y Venezuela ya están en la capital antioqueña.

Por Colombia, una de las principales figuras será Dana Cadena, quien viene de lograr medallas en campeonatos suramericanos, panamericanos, Juegos intercolegiados centroamericanos, además de un quinto lugar en el mundial de la categoría.
