Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Strategic Planning Directorate had a coordinating meeting with directors and heads of other sections under the Sports Affairs Directorate and the Coordination and Follow-up Committee to discuss the implementation of its operational objectives of the overall strategy of the BOC.
Sports Affairs executive director Jehad Khalfan said the meeting also aimed to motivate the directors and the staff to interact with the committee’s strategy and apply them in their daily tasks, which is part of the BOC strategy linked with the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030 vision.
On his part, Abdullatif said the application of the strategy needs to be converted into a set of operational objectives such as setting up programs and plans that promote sports for special needs.
Other goals are providing specialized courses to qualify Bahraini officials and support them through Olympic Solidarity and other parties, as well as to team up with the sports associations in active planning to provide the needed support to national and international competitions.
The meeting was also attended by Sports Medicine Director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh,
Sports Affairs director Hesham Al Balooshi, Sports Training and Development Director Nabeel Taha and director of Strategic Planning Hasan Abdullatif.
