Big Sky Committee for the Winter Games Names Jeff Ruffolo and Michael Miller to Board of Directors

Bozeman, Montana - June 24, 2014 - The Big Sky Committee for the Winter Games is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Ruffolo and Michael Miller to the organization’s Board of Directors.

The announcement was made by Jon Greenspon, Chief Executive Officer.

"We are honored to have someone of Jeff’s amazing Olympic experience and will be instrumental in the development of the Big Sky Committee’s bid for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games," said Mr. Greenspon.

Mr. Ruffolo is one of the world’s leading Olympic and sports marketing experts, having served in China as Senior Expert, Media and Communications for the 2008 Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and Executive Advisor for The 2010 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee.

He is author of "Inside the Beijing Olympics", a first person account of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Mr. Ruffolo has served as the English Editor of the 2013 Asian Youth Games official website and 16 years in senior management with China Southern Airlines, China’s largest airline.

In addition, Mr. Ruffolo is a three-time Summer Olympic Sportscaster for Westwood One, having served as an on-air sportscaster at the 1996 Atlanta, 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games.

Mr. Michael Miller has been an executive within the Sports Industry for over 20 years and has strong ties to the great State of Montana. "We are thrilled to have someone of Michael’s experience join our board", continued Mr. Greenspon. "He has been a leader within the sports world and will help us land the 2026 Winter Olympic Games".

For over 20 years, Michael has been a highly successful executive with the Sports industry, with a core expertise across all aspect of the sports marketing world, including: sports & event marketing, corporate partnership, activation, community outreach, revenue growth, hospitality, media, brand building, endorsements, licensing, merchandise, retail, digital/social, promotions and client service.

Michael Miller is currently President and CEO of Big Sky Enterprises (BSE), a full-service Sports & Lifestyle Marketing, agency. Michael’s wife, Erin, was raised in Bozeman and is graduate of Montana State University.

The Big Sky Committee for the Winter Games is a privately funded, state recognized and supported agent for the purpose of developing a bid and network for the hosting of the 2026 Winter Olympics in the State of Montana.
