17 October 2018: Leading global sports communications expert Ben Nichols has today launched a new, eponymous Communications Consultancy, Ben Nichols Communications.

Based in the United Kingdom but with an international focus, Ben Nichols Communications offers organisations, teams, athletes, events and brands cutting edge Public Relations and Communications Strategies that turn heads, and specialises in putting brands with untapped potential "firmly on the map".

Building on Nichols’ diverse communications experience - in a career which has taken him from the U.K. to the U.S.A and from the U.A.E. to Canada - Ben Nichols Communications offers clients six different specialist services: Strategic PR; CriComms (Crisis Communications); Media Relations; Digital and Social; Public Affairs; and Editorial, Speechwriting and Copywriting.

"I am delighted to be launching Ben Nichols Communications at a time of continued rapid growth for the global sport industry," said Nichols. "Today, there are huge challenges for sport, whether they be credibility issues surrounding sports governance, growing concerns regarding the efficiency of the anti-doping system, or the very real and current threat that new, emerging initiatives such as eSports present to the traditional sporting landscape," he added.

"With an increasingly cluttered and fragmented sport industry vying for the attention of new generations of sports fans, there remain huge opportunities for organisations and brands to run strategies and campaigns that turn heads and put them firmly on the map. This new Communications Consultancy will help them do just that," added Nichols.

Ben Nichols is the former head of Media Relations and Chief Spokesperson for the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and, most recently, was Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).

He was Chief Press Officer of the award-winning ATP and Dubai Tennis Championships for two years, and has previously worked with clients including Lotus Renault GP (F1), the University Boat Race, The All England Lawn Tennis Championships (Wimbledon), the Australian Open, NBA Europe, Perform Group, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and Athletics Integrity Unit.
