Belarus is taking part in an exhibition on the topic "Sport and Intellectual Property" at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.
Australia, Spain, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey and South Korea are also taking part in the exhibit timed to the World Intellectual Property Day.
The Belarusian exposition was prepared by the Permanent Mission of Belarus in Geneva in partnership with the Minsk European Games Organising Committee (MEGOC) and the National Centre for Intellectual Property of Belarus. It is dedicated to the 2nd European Games, which will be held from 21–30 June 2019 in Minsk.
In addition to the general presentation about the Games, the exhibition offers information about the trademark of the multi-sport event and its copyright holder, as well as the ways of covering the event in Minsk.
The copyright of the symbols of the 2nd European Games and the European Olympic Committees is protected to the highest degree in Belarus. The aim is to prevent the illegal copying and use of the symbols, such as through the production of souvenirs, and the promotion of goods and services in the lead up to the Games.
