THE Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) campaign to promote the International Olympic Day is set for today (JUNE 21) when registration takes place at the Bahrain City Centre in Manama.

Starting at 10am, the campaign aims to show the public the importance of this occasion and will continue until 10pm at a purpose-set up cabin near Carrefour Hypermarket on the ground floor.

During today’s function, registration will be open for all to attend and participate at the marathon, due to be held on Sunday (JUNE 23), to mark the International Olympic Day celebrations.

BOC Corporate Communication Directorate has completed all arrangements related to this promotional campaign, which also features a variety of entertaining programmes for kids and adults.

Directorate representatives Fajer Jassim, Dalal Salama, Khalid Haji and Mohammed Al Kooheji will brief the crowd on the International Olympic Day, the Olympic movements principles.

The marathon will take place at Dohat Arad Walkway in Muharraq from 4pm onwards and all are welcome to take part in this annual festival.

All participants in the marathon will receive a certificate of appreciation signed by the International Olympic Committee, in addition to some gifts and commemorative awards.

It’s worth noting that the BOC celebration of the International Olympic Day last year was a great success as the committee organised a series of sporting and entertaining events for children and adults.
