Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday congratulation the Bahrain Fencing Association family for hosting the Arab Junior Fencing Championships, to be held in March next year.
Shaikh Ahmed hailed the steps taken by the association to prepare for this regional competition, and affirmed the BOC support to make this event an all-round success.
This came during his meeting with Bahrain Fencing Association president Shaikh Ebrahim bin Salman Al Khalifa and a number of board members, who presented a details report on their preparations for the championship.
They two parties also discussed future plans and programmes set by the association, as well as their needs to achieve the desired objectives of these activities.
On his part, Shaikh Ebrahim expressed thanks and appreciation to the BOC, which he said has spared no efforts in offering full support to sports associations, in general, and fencing in specific, which is an extra incentive for them to work hard in the next phase and achieve their aspiration of the fencing family in Bahrain.
The meeting was also attended by BOC sports affairs chief executive Noaman Al Hassan and sports associations directorate executive co-ordinator Hamad Al Baker.
