(Atlanta) - In less than one month, the future of the Olympic Movement will be decided at the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Around the Rings will be on the scene from Sept. 4 to 10.

The session will finalize three major decisions: the election of the ninth IOC president, the 2020 Summer Olympic Games host city and the 2020 Summer Sports Program.

"It has been more than a decade since the IOC has had a new president, and six candidates are in contention to succeed Jacques Rogge," said Ed Hula, editor and founder of Around the Rings. "This and other key discussions will make this one of the most important IOC meetings in years."

The Around the Rings team will be on the scene to provide coverage of each decision on its website as well as via Facebook and Twitter. ATR also will release a special edition magazine in conjunction with the event. The magazine will be distributed on site and sent as an emag for subscribers. It also will be available online as a PDF.

There are six candidates in the IOC presidential race: Thomas Bach of Germany, Denis Oswald of Switzerland, Sergey Bubka of Ukraine, Richard Carrion of Puerto Rico, Ser Miang Ng of Singapore, and C.K. Wu of Chinese Taipei. The election and new president will be decided on Sept. 10.

Other decisions include hosting of the 2020 Summer Games. The three candidate cities are Madrid, Istanbul, and Tokyo. The winner will be decided on Sept. 7.

The sports program for the Summer 2020 Olympic Games will be decided Sep 8. Squash, wrestling, and baseball/softball are all lobbying for inclusion.

Advertising spots in the magazine are largely sold out. However, ATR’s sales team will be accepting advertisement submissions through August 12. For further inquiries into these opportunities, contact the sales team:
