(ATR) All four cities bidding for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games will appear at the August 23 Around the Rings Newsmaker Breakfast, presented by McDonald’s at its restaurant on the Beijing Olympic Green. It is the first time all four cities have appeared together.
Pat Ryan of Chicago, Antonio Fernández Arimany of Madrid, Carlos Nuzman of Rio de Janeiro and Ichiro Kono of Tokyo will talk with ATR editor Ed Hula about the strengths their cities offer and what makes them suitable hosts for the Olympics.
The ATR Newsmaker Breakfasts present opinion-makers and leaders of the Olympic Movement in an informal, question and answer setting.
Media and others with an interest in the race are invited. A light breakfast will be provided by event sponsor McDonald’s from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.; the discussion begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 9:30 a.m.
The McDonald’s is located at the north end of the Olympic Green next to the Super Store.
Around the Rings will provide transportation from the Intercontinental Hotel adjacent to the south end of the MPC from 7:45 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.

The breakfast takes place at the 2,000 square meter McDonald’s on the Olympic Green. It is the chain’s largest free-standing restaurant in the world.
This is the final breakfast in the series for Around the Ring’s Newsmaker Breakfasts. Previous topics have included the IOC in the 21st Century; Olympic sponsorship, and Vancouver 2010, among others.
