Andrea Varnier is the new CEO for Filmmaster Events. The company, who has been a leader in the industry of national and international events for more than 40 years, will now be managed by the new CEO and his long experience.

Andrea Varnier, 53, from Verona, has more than 30 years of experience in managing international events and has been working for several years in the Olympic business as IOC consultant. After working as manager for a long period, including an experience as Managing Director for GL Events, he makes his entrance in the Olympic industry in 2001 as Image&Events Managing Director for Turin 2006 Winter Olympics. Then he worked as IOC consultant for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and published the book "Beijing 2008 Ceremonies - The Experience". After that he worked as CEO for Cerimonias Cariocas 2016, a Brazilian group and partner of Filmmaster Events. He produced the Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies, the torch relays and the Team Welcome Ceremonies, which for the first time were all entrusted to one single company (CC2016).

As new Filmmaster Events CEO, he stated: "In the past 20 years I have worked with Filmmaster Events several times, and every time I appreciated the value and the skills of the professionals that work for this leading company, the protagonist in its industry for the last 40 years. I am very happy to come back to Italy and work for an important company. We are already been working on several international projects and I am confident that the results will be highly positive. Last year Filmmaster Events broke a new record with 9 productions of Sports Ceremony in one season. This year we want to expand our business and we will not focus only on international sports events and big show. I hope that with my contribution we will be able to speed up the current expansion projects in new geographic areas with new business possibility and artistic innovations".

Antonio Abete, ex CEO, will still be a part of the company with his new position of Filmmaster Events President.
