(ATR) The agent for Oscar Pistorius testified on Tuesday that the Olympian was in a "loving and caring relationship" with Reeva Steenkamp.
During day 35 of the Paralympian's murder trial, Peet van Zyl told the court that Pistorius often involved Steenkamp in conversations about business and expressed interest in having her travel with him.
CNN's Richard Allen Greene says Van Zyl characterized the double-amputee as "hypervigilant" and "fidgety."
However, Van Zyl denied that Pistorius was prone to outbursts of anger.
Van Zyl's testimony today followed the prosecution's cross-examination of acoustics expert Ivan Lin.
Telegraph reporter Andrew Marszal says the defense hoped Lin would explain the "contradicting accounts" from neighbors of Pistorius, who claim to have heard male and female screams at the time of the shooting.
"The act of listening is an intellectual event," Lin testified. "Typically, one can differentiate a male and female scream, but one cannot say reliably, without exceptions."
Lin did admit to chief prosecutor Gerrie Nel that state witnesses could have heard screaming from the Pistorius house on the night of the shooting from their homes up to 177 meters away.
On March 3, Pistorius pleaded not guilty to one charge of murder and a firearms charge associated with Steenkamp's killing. If convicted, the Olympic sprinter faces 25 years in jail.
