With 30 days to go until the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) has today launched a dynamic new website: http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001lTZ-nZvSf2QmAD7BQls09KEEDskTHhxyBAWauzjxJXef5FIkOwG37ZBADjEeyHFSE3-uIhPDaQsnFTXFxucTMbUKCcjvwtyGfQLeKyUHlvNz6xaV1r6YTmbOe3ew9bua0mbsAOb3chRfxQC-LyIYM4ueRh8ug2NxMN-xqNYH1Uc=&c=IAxY2Qq8YFdtAVGjiPdE2RSqMmqTd-lg3arrhBosId4QZ82Y9eET1A==&ch=d4sMDyHDaEs3DhRHxiMEoeS82ShDnuugCN-_7pEgHFvw1qULq4Xn1Q== .

The new central site replaces its predecessor (pentathlon.org) and is a fully responsive new home for Modern Pentathlon and all the other UIPM sports.

UIPMWorld is available on all platforms and devices, is completely integrated with the UIPM competition management and results system and is connected to all of UIPM's social networks.

The aim of the new site is to be user-friendly for UIPM stakeholders who use it as a resource. The benefits will include faster page loads and better search engine optimization aimed at spreading the word around the world and growing the UIPM Family.

UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann said: "We always have to keep on working on the development of our sport and organization and promote the philosophy of Pierre de Coubertin worldwide.

"The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will be another important milestone for the future of Modern Pentathlon as we introduce Bonus Fencing, and there will be other exciting innovations to come.

"For UIPM it is always important to keep up with the times and that's why we need to modernize and develop our website for the benefit of our sport, for our UIPM family, for our fans and for the media. Go beyond, create tomorrow."

The launch of the central website comes five months after the birth of UIPMTV.org, which completed UIPM's digital ecosystem with its emphasis on live streaming and video replay of major events, coupled with a social media hub.

Andrejus Zadneprovskis, the UIPM Executive Board Member for Media, said: "I am very pleased with the latest digital innovation from UIPM which will help popularize and make our sports available to as many people as possible.

"More people will be able to learn about Modern Pentathlon and the other UIPM sports and that, to us, is very important especially with the Olympic Games in Rio on the horizon."

Shiny Fang, UIPM Secretary General, said: "I am sure that the new-look uipmworld.org will be popular among our fans and followers because we have redesigned it with them in mind.

"It is another sign of our ambition to make Modern Pentathlon and the other UIPM sports as inclusive as possible and more accessible to people throughout the world who want to know more about sport and get involved.

"That mission will continue to be at the forefront of our minds not only during this Olympic year but throughout the Tokyo 2020 cycle and beyond."

UIPMWorld.org, designed in conjunction with Penceo Sport, is user-focused and has been created on a user-first approach. It is designed to ensure that everybody can enjoy a simple and easy navigation on every device.

The new site will be dynamic, strongly branded and simple to use. Other exciting features will include:

Better visual interface for mobile and desktop - by benchmarking and rethinking how users access and use the site, during and between competitions and using the latest design trends.

Amazingly fast page loads - by using compression technologies, memory caching, optimized images.

Better search engine optimization - by using the latest HTML5 technologies, micro data.

Better social network connections - integrating more social sharing features, social feeds, and proper metatarsi.
