The groundbreaking competition will run remotely on 21-22 November 2020.

More than 2800 archers from 79 countries have registered to compete in the first-ever online stage of the Indoor Archery World Series on 21-22 November 2020.

Entries closed at midnight CET on Sunday 15 November.

Archers can participate from anywhere in the world by shooting a 60-arrow 18-metre round on any standard World Archery licensed 40-centimetre target face (single spot, vertical triple spot or triangular triple spot; four-centimetre-diameter 10-ring for recurve, two-centimetre-diameter 10-ring for compound).

Competitors must shoot their rounds with witnesses and will submit pictures of their target faces as evidence of their score.

Among the registered archers are Rio 2016 Olympic medallists Lisa Unruh and Jean-Charles Valladont, Paralympic Champion David Drahoninsky and the entire Hyundai Steel professional archery team in Korea, including London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Champions Oh Jin Hyek and Ku Bonchan.

Mexico has entered the most athletes with 311, followed by Malaysia with 301 and the Netherlands with 128.

Fifteen teams have signed up across the recurve and compound competition categories, for which World Archery is guaranteeing a prize fund of 10,000 CHF. The four top-ranked squads in each category will shoot in the remote Indoor Archery World Series Finals on 27-28 February 2021.

Scores will be published live, as they are submitted, on the World Archery website.

Everybody who registered for the event will receive an email with their official scoresheet and a QR code, enabling access to the competition in the Ianseo Scorekeeper application, over the next few days.
